What this list represents
The leaderboard above unifies two signals from August 2026: approved community threads created in that calendar month, and lookup-form searches submitted in that calendar month. A high rank means a number was both being discussed in the community and being searched for by the wider public — the two together are the strongest indicator that a real, identifiable scam campaign was active that month.
Click any row for the per-number page: Ofcom range-holder data, the area code (if geographic), the caller verdicts, and the original community discussion. If you remember receiving a call from one of these numbers around the same time, the per-number page is also a good place to add your own report so the next person who searches the number sees a richer signal.

FAQs about August 2026
How is the August 2026 ranking calculated?
Reports created in the month + searches submitted in the month, combined by E.164 number, then sorted by total activity. Each signal counts equally — a number with 8 community reports and 200 searches ranks above a number with 10 reports and 50 searches because the combined activity is higher.
Will the leaderboard change after the month ends?
No. Once the first day of the following month opens, the historical leaderboard is frozen — late-arriving reports get a new created_at timestamp and count toward their own month, not this one. That keeps every historical month page stable for citation.
Can I see the underlying community discussion?
Yes — click any row for the per-number page, which links to every approved community thread tagged to that number. Threads are anonymous by default but show the moderation timestamp + category context.
